Auto Lot and Risk Levels: How One Shoot AI Sizes Every Trade

You choose one word — LOW or MEDIUM — and the EA calculates every lot from your balance. Here is which one to use, and when to change it.

By One Shoot AI Team

Two clients can run the same version, on the same broker, in the same week, and end up with completely different results. The engine is identical. The sizing is not.

Auto Lot does the maths

With Auto Lot enabled — which is the recommendation for every client — position size is calculated from your live balance and the risk level you chose. You never work out a lot size, and you never have a fixed lot quietly becoming reckless after a drawdown or timid after growth.

Choosing your risk level

BalanceRisk levelWhy
$1,000 and aboveLOWA larger balance already produces a meaningful position at the low setting. Take the smoother equity curve.
$200 – $999MEDIUMOn a smaller balance, LOW can fall below your broker's minimum lot and the EA will correctly refuse the trade.
Under $200Do not runThe broker's minimum lot is too large for the account. Fund to $200 first.
Any balanceHIGH — not advisedBuilt for testing. It does not make a slow week faster; it makes every week larger in both directions.

Making the change

  1. 1Wait for a quiet moment — ideally the weekend, with no positions open.
  2. 2Right-click the chart → Expert Advisors → Properties, or press F7.
  3. 3On the Inputs tab, set Risk Level to LOW.
  4. 4Press OK. The dashboard should now show LOW on the Risk Engine line.

What you should leave alone

  • Max Spread and Max Slippage — these are the EA's own safety blocks, not tuning knobs
  • Magic numbers — only relevant if you run two licensed copies on one account
  • Initial Lot — ignored entirely while Auto Lot is on
  • Duplicate Order Filter — leave it exactly as it loads

In practice, only two things change per client: the risk level, and whether a market is enabled. Everything else is already correct when the EA loads.

Judge it over a real sample

Some days a market arms orders and never fills one. Some days it fills several. A market sitting quiet is the system waiting — the spread may be outside its limit, or the session may be closed. Judge the install by the checklist on your dashboard, not by a single day's result.

Every licence includes the settings for your account size, plus a broker and spread check before you fund.

Risk disclosure

Trading leveraged instruments carries a substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for every investor. Past performance is not a guarantee of future results. One Shoot AI is a trading tool, not financial advice — you remain responsible for the capital in your account and the settings you choose.
