How to Install One Shoot AI on MetaTrader 5 (Step-by-Step)

Do this on your VPS, with MetaTrader 5 already installed and logged into your live account. It takes about five minutes. Every client receives the full illustrated guide after purchase — this is the short version.

Step 1: Open the MT5 data folder

In MetaTrader 5, go to File → Open Data Folder. This opens the real installation directory, which is not the folder MT5 was installed into. Always install through this menu.

Step 2: Copy your licensed file

1. 1Open the MQL5 folder, then the Experts folder.
2. 2Paste your licensed .ex5 file directly into Experts.
3. 3Do not rename it — your copy is licensed to you.
4. 4Keep a backup outside the VPS, so a rebuilt VPS costs you two minutes instead of a support ticket.

Step 3: Refresh the Navigator

Back in MT5, press Ctrl + N to show the Navigator, right-click Expert Advisors and choose Refresh. If the name appears greyed out, MT5 has not finished refreshing — restart the terminal.

Step 4: Show your markets in Market Watch

Auto-detection reads Market Watch. If a market is hidden there, it cannot be detected. Right-click inside the Market Watch panel, choose Show All, and confirm you can see gold, bitcoin and the Nasdaq index.

Step 5: Attach it to one chart

1. 1Open one chart — any symbol, any timeframe. It does not trade that chart's symbol.
2. 2Drag One Shoot AI from the Navigator onto the chart.
3. 3On the Common tab, tick Allow Algo Trading.
4. 4On the Inputs tab, set Auto Lot to true and choose your Risk Level.
5. 5Press OK.

Step 6: Turn on Algo Trading

The Algo Trading button in the MT5 toolbar must be green. If it is red, click it once. Nothing trades while that button is red, no matter how the EA is configured — and a sad face in the top-right of the chart is telling you exactly that.

Step 7: Confirm it is running

• A smiling face in the top-right corner of the chart
• The dashboard drawn on the chart with the ENABLED pill showing
• All three markets listed — or two, if you disabled one
• The risk engine showing the level you intended
• Ping inside the target, and every spread inside its band

Then close the Remote Desktop window — do not shut the VPS down. Closing it disconnects you; the VPS keeps running with MT5 open.
